PATCH - Gadsden Flag - Dont Tread on Me 3" X 2"
The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a timber rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724–1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag.
This was one of the first American flags before the stars and stripes flag replaced it. It was anti-British and basically was America telling the British, "dont mess with us". Leave us alone, or we will strike.
Now days it is a symbol of American patriotism; and Ive seen it used in relation to gun control laws; Kind of like telling the government to "back off".
I pasted the wikipedia link in case you want to read more about it.
